Liverpool and Arsenal Vie for Ezri Konsa, Salah to Trabzonspor

Liverpool are reportedly considering a move for Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa, potentially rivalling Arsenal for his signature. This interest comes as Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola seeks a solution to his injury crisis.
Arsenal, who are the reigning Premier League champions, previously had an offer for Konsa rejected last month. However, they are now expected to submit a new bid for the England international, who Aston Villa reportedly values at a minimum of £60 million. Konsa is considered a key target for Arsenal, especially as they look to cover for the injured William Saliba.
Transfer Market Activity
Arsenal has been active in the transfer market this summer, having already secured three signings: Pierio Hincapie, Illan Meslier, and Christos Tzolis. Additionally, Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United is set to become their fourth summer arrival, with his move reportedly agreed upon. Despite these acquisitions, Arsenal is expected to make further signings before the transfer window closes, with a new winger and a new centre-back being priorities.
Reports suggest that Arsenal’s focus extends beyond Guimaraes, with interest in Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Junior also noted. However, it has since emerged that Vinicius Junior is more likely to sign a new contract with Real Madrid after the Spanish club made an increased offer. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has indicated that Arsenal is far from finished with their transfer business this summer.

Meanwhile, Liverpool’s search for defensive reinforcements has also led them to consider Real Madrid centre-back Raúl Asencio. The 23-year-old has reportedly been informed that he can leave the Bernabéu. Another player on Iraola’s radar is Paris Saint-Germain winger Ibrahim Mbaye, an 18-year-old who is believed to be open to a move to Anfield.
